Lake Tahoe Lifestyles

One of the things I love most about helping people to find the perfect resort retreat is introducing prospective buyers to the diverse Lake Tahoe lifestyle. Amenities range from golf, skiing, hiking and equestrian, and each community offers something special. This can be overwhelming to someone first exploring buying a new vacation home in Lake Tahoe and Truckee, but I know each area and the special nuances that they offer.

We have alot of year round residents because Lake Tahoe and Truckee not only offer amazing outdoor recreation, but we have a small town feel to our community. Whether you are looking for access to hiking trails, ski in and ski out properties, golf communities or mountain biking trails, I can help you find the vacation home of your dreams. Lake Tahoe and Truckee attract a diverse group of homeowners from the feeder markets of San Francisco and Sacramento to the sophisticated international vacation home buyer.

Special resort areas like Alpine Meadows, Northstar and Squaw Valley have communities surrounding a quaint village with access to restaurants, bars and shopping. Some of these areas have ski in and ski out access, and above Northstar, an exclusive community built near the Ritz Carlton has developed and offers discriminating buyers upscale homes and exclusive amenities.

Tahoe Donner offers family amenities and boasts newer architecture. Many buyers like the rustic homes found along Donner Lake. Several communities are located within close proximity to downtown Truckee with its fun night life and five star restaurants. Throughout the summer, Truckee and Tahoe City both offer Music in the Park. We kick off autumn with Oktoberfests and celebrate the snow with Snowfest celebrations. Special wine events attract homeowners to shop and taste wines in both downtown Truckee and Tahoe City. There is always an event happening that caters to the all that makes the area a popular tourist destination.

Many second home buyers enjoy the diversity of golf course properties and there are several, each attracting different needs of the homebuyer. The Tahoe City and Kings Beach Golf Courses have adjacent neighborhoods where you can purchase a home overlooking the golf courses. Other golf communities include:
